Server & Storage Engineer

Server & Storage Engineer | 3 – 6 months | Manchester | Hybrid

A global organisation is looking for a Server & Storage Engineer on a contract basis, supporting and improving the business’ storage and infrastructure across the UK, EMEA and APAC.

The successful Server & Storage Engineer will be working with VMware, Netapp and Veeam within a hybrid cloud environment.

Experience and Technical ability of the Server & Storage Engineer:

• Essential hands-on experience using NetApp SAN storage solutions.
• Must have worked with VMware including vCenter, Clusters, HA, Replication and Host patches.
• Must have expertise of enterprise backup tool, VEEAM.
• Hands on experience with Public & Private cloud environments.
• Skilled with Dell PowerEdge and data center operations.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems such as Solarwind.
• Global enterprise experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities of the Server & Storage Engineer:

• Manage, maintain, and optimise NetApp SAN storage solutions.
• Oversee and administer large-scale VMware environments and Public Cloud environments.
• Own backup and disaster recovery operations using Veeam, ensuring enterprise-grade data protection and security best practices.
• Maintenance and documentation of procedures, configurations and changes made within the business.
• Providing BAU support as a technical escalation point.
• Coordinating on-site data centre activities and integrating them with hybrid cloud environments.

The successful Server & Storage Engineer would be working an average of 1 day a week in Warrington.
