Test Manager
Test Manager (OAT): - 6-month contract – Inside IR35.
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite)Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required for this role
VIQU IT has an opportunity available for an Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) Manager to support a large infrastructure refresh programme. The OAT Manager role will focus on ensuring that new or upgraded infrastructure platforms are fully operationally ready before moving into live service, working closely with infrastructure delivery, operations, and service management teams.
Test Manager’s Key Duties:
- Develop and manage the Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) approach for infrastructure changes and platform upgrades
- Create and maintain OAT plans aligned with migration phases, releases, and deployment schedules
- Coordinate OAT activities across core infrastructure areas including compute, storage, networks, and end-user platforms
- Ensure monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and resilience capabilities are tested and operationally ready
- Validate operational processes including security controls, access management, patching, and vulnerability management
- Support infrastructure migration and cutover activities by ensuring rollback, recovery, and operational procedures are in place
- Work closely with infrastructure delivery teams, IT operations, and third-party suppliers to confirm service readiness
- Provide reporting and assurance on operational readiness to programme stakeholders and support go-live decisions
Test Manager’s Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance
- Experience managing Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) or service readiness within infrastructure programmes
- Strong understanding of infrastructure environments (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid)
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
- Experience supporting infrastructure migrations, technology refreshes, or major platform upgrades
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
