Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

12-month fixed-term contract (likely to extend)

Key role in a 4-person infra team, reporting to the Infra Lead

Mix of BAU and project work: Azure VDI rollout, data centre migration, site moves
-
Flexible hybrid working: 4 days on-site (London preferred), 1 WFH — travel expensed when needed
-
Deploying and managing Azure cloud infrastructure
-
Rolling out Azure VDI (replacing RDS)
-
Supporting data centre upgrades and office relocations
-
Leading escalations from service desk on critical systems
-
Integrating infrastructure post-acquisition (100 new heads)
-
Documenting infra setups and driving operational improvements
-
Azure / Microsoft 365 / Windows Server / VMware / Hyper-V
-
Networking – VLAN, VPN, Cisco firewalls, switches
-
Veeam for backups / Active Directory / DNS, DHCP, GPO
-
Azure Security, Compliance, Identity
-
8–10 years’ infrastructure experience
-
Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, and VDI
-
Confident with server builds, migrations, and network config
-
Certs like Azure Admin, Security+, Networking+ desirable
-
Background in financial services is a bonus (not essential)
