VIQU have partnered with a major international insurance organisation undergoing a significant data, AI, and machine learning transformation across its UK & Ireland operations. With a strong investment in cloud data platforms and advanced analytics, the business is building a modern data product capability to drive better decision-making across pricing, underwriting, claims, and risk.
They are now looking for a Lead Data Product Manager to take ownership of a growing portfolio of data and machine learning products, shaping how data is turned into scalable, high-value products used across the organisation.
This role will sit at the intersection of product, data science, and engineering, working closely with business leaders to identify opportunities where data and ML can deliver measurable commercial impact. You will define the product strategy and roadmap, lead cross-functional collaboration, and ensure products are successfully adopted across the insurance business.
Key Responsibilities-
Define and drive the data and machine learning product strategy aligned with business and data objectives.

Develop and maintain data product roadmaps and product catalogues that support both current and future business needs.

Work closely with data science, engineering, and business stakeholders to prioritise and deliver impactful products.

Own the end-to-end life cycle of data products, from ideation through to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Establish governance and operating models for data products and ML solutions, ensuring compliance and quality.

Define KPIs and success metrics to measure product performance and ROI.

Proven experience as a Data Product Manager/Lead Product Manager working with data, AI, or machine learning products.

Strong insurance industry background, with knowledge of areas such as pricing, underwriting, claims, or risk.

Experience defining product strategies, roadmaps, and data product operating models.

Strong stakeholder management skills, working across business, technology, and data teams.

Practical understanding of cloud data platforms such as Azure and Databricks.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts for senior stakeholders.
