VIQU has partnered with a leading organisation in the clean energy sector to recruit a Senior Data Engineer. You will design and build scalable data infrastructure, turning complex datasets into valuable insights that support renewable energy systems. Working in a collaborative, agile team, you'll take ownership of key initiatives while contributing to best practices and mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Data Engineer:
Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure using cloud technologies
Develop and optimise ETL pipelines for efficient data processing
Support data science and analytics to optimise energy assets
Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform/AWS)
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency
Integrate external APIs for data ingestion and delivery
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-driven solutions
Mentor team members and promote best practices

Key Requirements of the Senior Data Engineer:
Strong experience building data pipelines, platforms, and storage systems
Advanced Python skills with a focus on production-quality code
Solid understanding of ETL processes and best practices
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and big data tools (eg Spark, Pulsar)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience developing and deploying data services end-to-end
Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
Ability to mentor others and promote best practices
