Position

VITEC have a fantastic new opportunity for someone to join our Global Finance Team, as a Payroll Coordinator, based at our office in Dalgety Bay, Fife.

This is part time, permanent position (25 hours per week) reporting to the Financial Controller. The role holder will be responsible for the inputting and processing of our global payroll.

This role would be suited to someone who has previous experience in payroll processing, with excellent numerical and communication skills, the ability to work to deadlines, and competent in payroll software applications.

Role Summary:

To facilitate and co-ordinate global payroll administration and processing in a timely and accurate manner. This role will involve working independently, across other departments in the company and liaising with our professional advisors around the world to deliver an excellent payroll service within the local tax compliance framework.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll transactions for employees in an accurate and timely manner. Review payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and laws. Our employees are based globally in the UK, US, Spain, France, Dubai, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan  
  • Ensure Compliance on up to date, country specific, payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance with tax laws 
  • Ensure our corporate tax account is paid and up to date in each region
  • Maintain employee payroll records and confidential payroll information in accordance with GDPR regulations and in line with Company Policy and Procedures
  • Be the main point of contact for employees with regard to payroll-related questions, queries and issues, and following up in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with employees, the Finance and HR team, and external parties on payroll related matters
  • Work closely with the Human Resources and Finance departments to manage and maintain employee compensation and benefits or any other employee related amendments
  • Manage the employee pension scheme by submitting accurate and up to date pension data on our portals on behalf of our employees
  • Calculate the sales commission for each sales employee

Qualifications

  •  Mathematics – Nat 5 minimum
  •  Microsoft Office

Knowledge/Skill

  •  Previous experience of payroll data, input and processing 
  •  Technical proficiency, confident and competent in understanding and         using Payroll software
  •  Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel in     particular
  • International Payroll experience, USA in particular, would be an advantage
