Apprentice MEP Coordinator/Revit Coordinator
You will be part of a team with a wealth of experience and knowledge to support your development in the understanding of MEP services coordination, taught how to use a variety of software from the likes of Autodesk and Trimble to produce accurate drawings and services models. At VTA we see in-house training as a priority not just a requirement.
Role
- Annotation of MEP services drawings
- Incorporating comments received
- Creating drawing sheets from scratch
- Work with Engineers on updating schematics and 2D drawings
- Clash detection of MEP services within the 3D environment
This in time will progress to:
- Modelling of MEP services
- Updating MEP models to suit as installed services
- Coordination of MEP services in risers, corridors and ceiling voids
Training
- Apprenticeship with be one day per week at London South Bank Colleges
- In house training sessions will be held once per week on specific topics
- Site visits on a monthly basis
- Online training courses by Autodesk
Apprentices with determination can expect to progress on to being a Lead Coordinator and in time with the right experience move on to Project Manager.
