Business Development Manager – Central Government

Up to £90,000 + Bonus

We're working with a growing digital consultancy that is expanding its presence across UK Central Government and looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager.

This is an opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, helping government organisations modernise legacy services, embrace digital transformation, and adopt innovative technologies.

The Role
  • Identify and win new business opportunities across Central Government
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and account growth plans
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across government departments
  • Attend networking events and industry conferences to generate new opportunities
  • Create and execute pursuit plans for key accounts and opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support successful bid and proposal activity
  • Establish strategic partnerships to support growth and service expansion
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience selling digital, technology, or consulting services into UK Central Government
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement and delivery models
  • Experience building and managing complex sales opportunities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering growth

Desirable:

  • Experience working with departments such as Home Office, MoJ, FCDO, DEFRA, or similar
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, AI, or digital transformation programmes

Candidates must be eligible for UK Government Security Clearance and have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
