Business Development Manager – Central Government
Up to £90,000 + Bonus
We're working with a growing digital consultancy that is expanding its presence across UK Central Government and looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager.
This is an opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, helping government organisations modernise legacy services, embrace digital transformation, and adopt innovative technologies.
The Role- Identify and win new business opportunities across Central Government
- Develop and execute strategic sales and account growth plans
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across government departments
- Attend networking events and industry conferences to generate new opportunities
- Create and execute pursuit plans for key accounts and opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to support successful bid and proposal activity
- Establish strategic partnerships to support growth and service expansion
- Proven experience selling digital, technology, or consulting services into UK Central Government
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement and delivery models
- Experience building and managing complex sales opportunities
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering growth
Desirable:
- Experience working with departments such as Home Office, MoJ, FCDO, DEFRA, or similar
- Understanding of cloud technologies, AI, or digital transformation programmes
