I'm working with an established organisation looking to hire an experienced Data Engineer to join its growing Data Team.
This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving a modern Microsoft Fabric data environment. You'll be responsible for developing reliable data pipelines, improving the performance of the data warehouse, and ensuring high-quality data is available across the business.
You'll work closely with analysts, governance teams and wider business stakeholders, so they're looking for someone who is technically strong but also comfortable communicating with non-technical teams.
The Role
- Design, build and maintain data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric
- Develop ELT processes and data warehouse solutions
- Work with Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Data Factory and notebooks
- Optimise data models, SQL queries and pipelines
- Use Python for data manipulation, scripting and automation
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring and alerts
- Support data modelling and wider data migration projects
- Maintain technical documentation and data governance standards
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements
Skills & Experience
- Strong Microsoft Fabric experience
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Python
- Data modelling and data warehousing
- Data Factory / Fabric Dataflows Gen2
- ETL/ELT and pipeline development
- Strong understanding of data quality and governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with SSIS, Git, Kimball methodology or large-scale data migrations would be beneficial.
