Technical Data Analyst - Hybrid Working
Technical Data Analyst – Sheffield (Hybrid: 2 days on-site) – Up to £50,000
We’re hiring a Technical Data Analyst to support a major ERP programme, playing a key role in data migration, reporting enablement, and data quality across the implementation. This is a great opportunity for someone who can work comfortably between technical teams and business stakeholders—turning complex data into clear insights that drive decisions.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse legacy and ERP datasets to identify gaps, anomalies, and quality issues
- Support data cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation during migration
- Define and apply data quality rules and run data quality testing
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for programme tracking and readiness
- Document data definitions, mappings, validation rules, and transformation logic
- Support UAT by validating data outputs and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with Data Stewards and stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve integrity
What you’ll bring
- Familiarity with ERP data structures in SAP and master/transactional data
- Strong Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables), SQL, and Power BI/Tableau
- Experience with data profiling, cleansing, validation, and ETL/integration pipelines
- Ability to explain data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Regular Expressions
Desirable
- Coding for data manipulation
- Experience with metadata management tools (lineage, glossary/terms)

- Hybrid: 2 days per week on-site in Sheffield
- Salary: Up to £50,000
