The Opportunity

Valcon UK is looking for a Head of AI to support the next stage of our growth. This is a Partner level role with responsibility for shaping how AI is positioned, sold, and delivered across the UK business.

AI is a core part of how Valcon creates value. Our capability spans AI advisory, AI literacy, governance, and solution delivery, including generative AI. We apply AI to real business problems, focusing on practical outcomes, responsible use, and delivery at scale across consulting, data, and technology. You will lead the growth of Valcon's UK AI capabilities, working closely with the data, technology, and consulting practice leads to embed AI into client propositions and delivery. You will translate Valcon's

European AI ambition into practical UK execution that drives client impact, commercial growth, and internal capability.

This role suits a senior AI leader who combines strong technical credibility with consulting delivery experience and commercial ownership.

Key responsibilities

Set the UK's AI strategy aligned to Valcon's European AI and data vision

Embed AI as a core part of our overall offering beyond traditional data science

Shape AI positioning with data, technology, and consulting practice leads

Evangelise AI without the hype both internally and externally

Build clear, sellable AI propositions linked to business outcomes

Client delivery

Lead and oversee complex client AI programmes of work

Work with consulting, technology and data capability leads to integrate AI into Valcon UK

Act as senior AI advisor to clients and partners

Move AI work from proof of concept to live, operational use

Commercial ownership

Build and convert a UK AI sales pipeline

Co-create solutions with sector, data, technology and consulting leads

Own, develop and grow AI value propositions and service offerings

Support bids, pricing, and deal shaping

Own AI-related revenue targets

Capability and people

Define the UK AI delivery model in step with data and technology leadership

Enable consultants to apply AI in day-to-day delivery

Create repeatable AI patterns used across capabilities

Governance and risk

Set standards for responsible AI use

Align AI governance with data, technology, and security standards

Own AI ethics, model risk, and data usage principles

Skills and experience

10–15 years in AI and Data Science Consulting or complex client delivery background

Proven commercial ownership across sales and delivery

Technical credibility

A true technologist background with hands on skills of AI techniques including Generative AI and Machine Learning

Enterprise AI architecture and integration

Model lifecycle, deployment, assurance using MLOps

Leadership capability

Outcome-led and pragmatic

Strong collaborator across disciplines

Clear communicator with senior clients and in public

Comfortable challenging weak AI use cases
