Google DCX Engineering
Work Location: Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, or Edinburgh. Candidates are required to work from the office 2 days per week at any of the listed locations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with strong expertise across compute services and platform engineering.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, while supporting modern CI/CD pipelines through tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Harness.
- Implement and manage cloud networking and security solutions, including GCP Cloud Armor, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded across infrastructure and runtime environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure services, including:
- Compute Engine
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Virtual Machines
- Windows Virtual Machines
- Local SSD
- Persistent Disk
- Cloud Networking
- Cloud Logging
- Cloud Monitoring
- Cloud Storage
- Cloud Key Management
- Cloud Secret Manager
- Experience working with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace.
- Proficiency with GitHub Enterprise and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong experience with HashiCorp technologies, including Terraform and Packer.
- Hands-on expertise with Jenkins and CI/CD automation tools.
- Familiarity with Backstage developer portal.
- Experience using Jira Cloud and Jira Align for Agile delivery and project tracking.
