Scrum Master (London Area)

We're working with a leading I nsurance client that is undergoing a major digital transformation. They’re looking to bring in a Scrum Master who can operate across delivery teams, driving Agile best practices, coaching stakeholders, and helping teams consistently deliver value. Key Responsibilities

Deliver

  • Support Product Owners and delivery teams in providing business-driven solutions.
  • Be a hands-on change agent, working closely with one or two Agile teams to deliver their best work.

Evangelise

  • Help implement and refine a flexible Agile framework to adapt to ongoing business change.
  • Coach teams on Agile values and principles, continually seeking areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Agile Coaches to assess and elevate Agile maturity across teams at a sustainable pace.

Support

  • Facilitate effective Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
  • Assist Product Owners with backlog prioritisation and management.
  • Lead by example—live and breathe Agile and Scrum principles.
  • Support teams in becoming self-organising and autonomous.
  • Navigate inter-team dependencies and manage conflict resolution, including in non-Agile parts of the organisation.
  • Drive transparency through clear internal and external communication.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master within software development teams.
  • Strong experience with Agile tooling such as JIRA or TFS .
  • Proficient in tracking and reporting Agile metrics (burn-down charts, velocity, etc.).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent).

Desirable

  • Experience within Insurance is a must .
  • Exposure to Data Warehousing or Analytics projects.
  • Experience working within scaled Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, Nexus).
  • Degree-level education is a plus.
