System Analyst

  • Job Summary:

    We are seeking a seasoned Technical Analyst with a strong background in application development, system analysis, and digital transformation to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a key bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, helping to modernize and optimize BAU processes currently running on legacy systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in API development, React, and strong proficiency in SQL (preferably including Oracle SQL).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document current BAU (Business-as-Usual) processes.
    • Analyze and propose improvements to existing BAU workflows to drive efficiency and performance.
    • Support and influence the digital transformation of legacy systems to modern platforms.
    • Act as a system analyst with deep understanding of application architecture and integration points.
    • Work closely with third-party vendors to manage dependencies, issues, and timelines.
    • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with development teams to ensure successful delivery.
    • Provide technical guidance during the design and development of applications.
    • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and contribute to front-end development using React.
    • Write efficient, complex SQL queries, with a preference for experience across multiple RDBMS platforms, including Oracle SQL.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in application development and technical/system analysis.
    • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • API development (REST)
    • .NET
    • SQL (strong proficiency; Oracle SQL preferred)
    • Demonstrated experience in digital transformation projects, especially involving legacy systems.
    • Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, and requirement gathering.
    • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing external stakeholders.
    • Ability to convert business needs into technical specifications.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Background as a software developer with a shift into analysis and architecture roles.
    • Experience in agile environments and familiarity with JIRA/Confluence.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
