Techno Functional Business Analyst

The role focuses on ensuring technology solutions align with overall business strategy, supporting end-to-end solution design, and delivering practical, value-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and translated into effective solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements through process mapping and analysis.
• Design and deliver solution concepts and proofs-of-concept based on business needs.
• Support Risk operations across Front to Back Office processes.
• Ensure technology solutions align with broader business and strategic objectives.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and report to the Director level.
• Develop and apply technical and analytical skills (e.g., SQL queries, VBA, and other lightweight development tools where needed).
• Produce MI, reports, and analysis to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve processes, systems, and data flows.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in energy trading, with a preference for LNG, crude oil, or shipping/logistics background.
• Experience in Risk environments across Front-to-Back Office.
• Strong business analysis and solutioning capability.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Techno-functional capability (SQL, VBA, or similar scripting/analysis tools).
• Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to build proofs-of-concept and support solution design.
• IMOS (shipping system) experience is a plus but not essential.
• Endur experience is not required.
