EMRS Design Analyst

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Design Analyst to join our EMRS team. In this role, you will:

• Apply system design expertise and industry best practices to develop solutions for change requests and projects.

• Provide exceptional customer support by resolving complex service desk queries from Electricity Suppliers, Generators, Capacity Providers, as well as supporting ESC and LCCC with EMR system-related inquiries.

• Contribute to the delivery of the EMRS Technology Roadmap, ensuring vendors' solutions align with EMRS architecture and design standards.

• Collaborate with lead roles across EMRS and Elexon to enable effective cross-functional delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of CfD, RAB, and CM rules and how they are implemented within EMRS systems.

• Analyze complex information and present it clearly through reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and visual diagrams.

• Conduct impact assessments on change initiatives and produce design artefacts, including calculation models, wireframes, and other documentation for EMRS projects and programs.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships, influencing, negotiating, and constructively challenging decisions to achieve the best outcomes.

• Identify and manage interdependencies across technology, business, and operational needs.

• Support the Solution Architect by providing subject matter expertise and design artefacts related to schemes and user system interactions.

• Contribute to the development of the technical roadmap, design governance processes, guidelines, and standards.

• Maintain and support the evolution of the EMRS Architecture and Technology roadmap.
