GCP Network Engineer

Role- GCP Network Engineer

Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite (Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, Edinburgh)

Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35)

Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced GCP Network Engineer to design, build, and modernise enterprise-grade Google Cloud network infrastructure. You'll work within a cross-functional cloud platform team, enabling secure, scalable, and compliant cloud adoption using DevOps and IaC best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage GCP VDC network architectures

  • Configure VPCs, subnets, Firewalls, routing, and peering

  • Implement hybrid connectivity (Cloud VPN, Interconnect)

  • Build network infrastructure using Terraform/Terraform Cloud

  • Automate networking tasks with Python

  • Enforce GCP Organisation Policies and policy-as-code (Sentinel/OPA)

  • Integrate network deployments into CI/CD pipelines

  • Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot GCP network environments

Essential Skills

  • Strong hands-on GCP networking experience

  • Expertise in hybrid connectivity

  • Terraform and Python for automation

  • CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins, GitHub, Harness)

  • GCP certification (Professional Cloud Network Engineer preferred)
