Engagement Lead
We are looking for an experienced Engagement Lead to join our Gas & Power ETRM consulting practice, replacing a senior leader in the team and taking ownership of strategic client engagements across trading and energy transformation initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep gas and power trading knowledge with strong consulting, delivery, and stakeholder management capabilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating with front office, risk, operations, and IT teams, helping clients shape and deliver complex trading and ETRM programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements across gas and power trading transformation programmes
- Act as a trusted advisor to trading, risk, and technology stakeholders
- Drive the delivery of ETRM-related projects including system implementation, optimisation, migration, and process transformation
- Translate trading business requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions
- Structure, analyse, and interpret complex trading datasets across front-to-back trading environments
- Manage senior client relationships and support business development activities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, developers, and vendor teams
- Contribute to practice growth, delivery standards, and industry thought leadership
Required Experience
- Strong experience within gas and power trading environments
- Deep understanding of physical and/or financial energy trading workflows, including trade lifecycle, scheduling and nominations, risk and PnL, settlements, and market operations
- Proven consulting or programme delivery experience in ETRM/CTRM environments
- Strong analytical and data-structuring capabilities within trading IT ecosystems
- Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience leading client-facing engagements and managing delivery streams
Preferred Experience
- Experience in one or more major ETRM platforms such as Endur/Openlink, Allegro, Aspect, TriplePoint, Orchestrade, Beacon, Molecule, SAP Commodity Management, or other relevant energy trading platforms
- Data architecture and data modelling in trading environments
- Cloud and modern data platforms
- Integration architecture and APIs
- Regulatory reporting and market compliance
- Agile delivery in trading organisations
