Lead Control Systems Engineer
Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities
Key Job roles to include.
Preparation of estimates, tenders, design specifications, tender specifications.
Production of FDS / SDS.
Ability to design and program PLC / HMI / SCADA systems for various industries using Siemens, Mitsubishi etc. equipment.
Design electrical distribution / motor control centers and PLC control systems.
Involvement from enquiry and concept design through to detailed design in projects lifecycle.
Attending client and sub-contractor meetings to support the project by providing technical expertise.
Production of test documents FAT/SAT, and attending at panel manufacturers premises for Factory Acceptance Testing
Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical engineering.
Authoring of O&M Manuals.
Job Requirements / Knowledge and Experience
List of essential knowledge and experience
o An Engineering qualification to at least level 4 (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
o Relevant design experience in a position of Electrical / Controls Engineer
o Experienced in control panel/ MCC design ideally with Siemens equipment.
o Knowledge of industrial control systems including electrical distribution equipment, motor control centers, and PLC control panels.
o Project management of electrical engineering and controls projects
o Experience in a turnkey project environment.
o Highly organized with attention to detail.
o Excellent problem-solving skills.
o Able to work proactively both individually and as part of a small team.
o Have a working knowledge of BS EN 60204 and BS7671
o Ability to produce and manage RAMS.
List of desirable knowledge and experience
o A knowledge and understanding of AC/DC drives systems.
o Familiar with related hydraulic systems.
o Experience of Safety Related Control Systems to BS EN IEC 62061 or BS EN ISO 13849
o Experience of installation and commissioning procedures would be an advantage.
