Golang Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Golang Engineer to develop, maintain and troubleshoot secure Go-based microservices within a modern cloud-native environment.
The successful candidate will have strong experience with Go, REST APIs, microservices, containerisation, Kubernetes and Helm, along with a solid understanding of secure coding, Agile development and continuous delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot secure Go microservices.
- Design and integrate REST APIs within microservices-based architectures.
- Work with containerisation technologies and cloud-native platforms.
- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Follow secure coding and software development best practices.
- Contribute to code management, Agile development and continuous delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot application and deployment issues.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams while also managing tasks independently.
- Analyse technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Support continuous improvement of application development and deployment practices.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Golang / Go.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting secure Go microservices.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with containerisation technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications using Helm.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
- Experience with code management and Agile development practices.
- Experience with continuous delivery / CI/CD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Java development.
- Familiarity with SQL databases.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
