We are seeking a talented and motivated Production & Manufacturing Engineer Team Lead to join a busy and dynamic technology company based near Luton.

This role would suit a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, NPI Engineer or Manufacturing Process Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving manufacturing processes and leading the introduction of new products into production.
Working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products move smoothly from design into manufacture, while driving continuous improvements in quality, efficiency and reliability. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence manufacturing capability and see the direct impact of your work on innovative products used around the world.

Responsibilities
- Own and optimise production and test processes to ensure quality, efficiency and reliability.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from design through to manufacture and ongoing support.
- Develop and implement work instructions and manufacturing documentation using digital platforms.
- Support and provide day-to-day leadership to the manufacturing team.
- Manage ERP and Shop Floor Data Collection systems.
- Work closely with Engineering to improve manufacturability, product quality and production efficiency.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontract manufacturers to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and training initiatives.
- Experience within a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, NPI Engineer or similar role.
- Background in electronics, electro-mechanical or other complex manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting products from development into manufacture.
- Experience with ERP systems and Lean/Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to take ownership, make decisions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
