Job Profile

Our client, a specialist consultancy delivering IFS solutions to a diverse portfolio of external customers, is seeking an experienced IFS Finance Consultant to join their team. In this role, you will lead finance-focused workstreams across multiple client engagements, providing expert guidance on process design, solution configuration, and best-practice deployment of the IFS Finance module.

You will bring deep functional expertise, strong consulting skills, and hands-on experience delivering at least one full end-to-end IFS implementation where Finance was the primary module in scope. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys shaping solutions that drive measurable business value.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IFS Finance workstreams for external clients, from initial discovery through to delivery, deployment, and post-implementation optimisation.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand client financial processes, gather requirements, and advise on best-practice design within the IFS Finance module.
  • Configure and implement the IFS Finance suite, ensuring alignment with client objectives and seamless integration with adjacent modules.
  • Map, document, and optimise financial processes, data structures, and system touchpoints across clients' functional landscapes.
  • Produce high-quality functional specifications and collaborate with technical consultants and developers to deliver robust solutions.
  • Oversee implementation activities including data migration support, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client finance teams, providing expert insight, training, and knowledge transfer to build long-term capability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the consultancy, helping refine methodologies, templates, and delivery standards.
  • Support pre-sales activities where needed, including solution scoping and estimating.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering IFS Finance consulting services, ideally within a consultancy or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience completing at least one full end-to-end IFS implementation, with Finance as the lead module.
  • Deep functional expertise across the IFS Finance suite, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Period Management, and Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of integration touchpoints with connected IFS modules such as Supply Chain, Projects, and Manufacturing.
  • Excellent consultancy and client engagement skills, including the ability to challenge, influence, and communicate clearly at all levels.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into scalable, well-designed IFS solutions.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills, with experience preparing functional specs, test scripts, and process maps.
  • Comfortable working across multiple client engagements simultaneously in a dynamic, delivery-focused environment.
  • Experience supporting testing cycles, data migration activities, and cutover planning.
