Senior Technical Specialist

Our client is looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to stabilise delivery across a critical disaster recovery programme.

You will reduce delivery risk by taking ownership of technical work across both run and change teams, ensuring key milestones are met ahead of a July go-live.

This role is focused on immediate delivery, technical depth, and closing resource gaps within overstretched teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of infrastructure tasks across both run and change teams to maintain delivery momentum
• Deliver hands-on technical work across core infrastructure components supporting disaster recovery
• Identify delivery risks and actively mitigate them to protect project timelines
• Coordinate closely with team managers to prioritise work and allocate effort effectively
• Resolve complex technical issues that exceed current team capacity
• Ensure operational stability is maintained alongside ongoing project delivery
• Step into team-level leadership where required to guide workstreams or unblock progress
• Drive completion of outstanding tasks required for disaster recovery go-live
• Maintain clear visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies across both teams
