Junior Power Platform Developer
Job summary
o Support a range of digital transformation programmes across Velindre University NHS Trust (VUNHST) using Microsoft Power Platform.
o This role has responsibility for providing input into the technical design of Microsoft Power Platform systems and services, justifying design decisions that form a critical part of the VUNHST vision and strategy, including its Digital Strategy.
o Support the Power Platform Manager, Robotic Process Automation Developer to deliver Microsoft Power Platform solutions and projects during the feasibility/research, design and implementation phases for all infrastructure and cloud related activities.
o Work closely with the Digital Services Application Team, to provide advice and guidance on best practice for utilisation of Microsoft 365 Power Platform within VUNHST.
o Under the direction of the Power Platform Manager, responsible for taking the lead on specific projects within their area of expertise, namely during development and deployment phases, to include agreement of appropriate service management arrangements for the ongoing service as part of deployment.
o As part of implementation, work with the wider Digital Services team, to ensure that the appropriate ITIL based Service Management processes are in place to support the new service\solution once live. o Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with service users, where appropriate provide them with advice, guidance and support.
Main duties of the job
o Work with the VUNHST Digital Services team, Product Managers, NHS Clinicians and other staff / users, to establish requirements for new Power Platform solutions and enhancements to existing systems for technology areas for which the post holder is responsible. o Work with service users and Business & Systems Analysis staff to interpret requirements to define system processes, manage the production of detailed technical specifications.o Design, develop and deploy Power Platform services into VUNHST, ensuring adherence to relevant NHS legislation, assurance and governance policies and to prepare estimates and timescales for delivery.
o Work with colleagues to remove any impediments as necessary. This will involve the complex and collaborative co-ordination of several activities, components, and processes in order to achieve a common goal.o Working with Systems and Business Analysts, analyse requirement's specifications (that may be provided in a variety of formats) and assess their suitability appropriately before proceeding to the software build stage. o Using technical expertise and experience, guide users and other stakeholders on the most effective way to solve business problems whendeveloping bespoke software applications. o Solve complex technical and business logic problems, providing for the most part, elegant solutions that make use of suitable software patterns.

Qualifications
- Degree in Software Development, Computer Information Systems, Business Information or be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and proven experience commensurate with holding such a qualification.
Skills
- A command of the principles of good software design.
- Highly skilled in the development of digital solutions using a range of Microsoft PowerPlatform technologies and services, such as (but not limited to): PowerPages, SharePoint, Microsoft Dataverse, PowerAutomate, PowerApps.
- Proven experience of software development in a formal Agile development environment.
- Experience in risk assessment and implementation of realistic project plans.
- Experience of business process testing including the management of test scenarios and reporting of testing outcomes.
- Experience of working on multiple complex projects.
- Excellent planning skills.
- Able to work individually, or as part of a team.
- Able to establish good working relationships with people at all levels.
