Salary: £85,000 to £110,000 base

OTE Bonus: £15,000 to £30,000 performance based bonus or commission uncapped where applicable

Role Overview

As a Sales Engineer you will be the technical face of the company partnering closely with Sales and Product teams to shape customer engagements deliver compelling demonstrations and design tailored SaaS solutions that address complex payment challenges. You will use your technical expertise and commercial mindset to drive revenue growth and support our expansion in the UK market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for customer engagements throughout the sales cycle from qualification to close
  • Deliver high impact product demonstrations and proofs of concept tailored to customer use cases in payments and financial operations
  • Translate customer business needs into technical requirements and recommend appropriate SaaS solutions
  • Support responses to RFIs RFPs and technical sections of proposals
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities
  • Build and maintain reusable demo assets technical documentation and sales enablement materials
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to pipeline forecasting

What You Will Bring

  • Approximately five years experience in a technical sales presales solutions engineering or similar SaaS role preferably within fintech payments or financial services
  • Strong understanding of SaaS architecture APIs cloud platforms and integration patterns
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical stakeholders such as CTOs and business decision makers such as CFOs and Heads of Operations
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate value for complex technical solutions
  • Comfortable managing multiple active opportunities and working cross functionally in a fast paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into financial services fintech clients or enterprise IT teams
  • Familiarity with the UK and EU payments landscape regulatory considerations and security reviews
  • Experience supporting cloud security standards and compliance discussions common in fintech procurement

  • Competitive base salary of £85,000 to £110,000 base depending on experience and skill set
