Lead Business Analyst
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst for an Initial 6-months contract on a rate of £550/day (Inside IR35).
Responsibilities
- Leads by example in the application of a range of analysis techniques to analyse the current state, of people, processes, and technology with our stakeholders
- Facilitates collaboration and leads effective communication with all stakeholders, both business and technical, to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs
- Drive improvements to the overall quality of the analysis service through close collaboration with Head of Business Architecture and Analysis and other team members
- Provide leadership to a team of Business Analysts, giving direction and advice where necessary
- Providing effective consultancy and advice to customers and stakeholders
- Develop an understanding of the organisation's strategic goals, ensuring this is recognised through solutions and performance improvement
- Contribute to building capability within the team, implementing best practice and enhancing skills capability through coaching and mentoring
- Ensure all analytical design work is in line with the Digital and Data standards.
Essential Skills:
- Significant track record of leading business analysis in complex project or programme environments.
- Structuring ambiguous business problems and translating them into clear, actionable outcomes.
- Planning, leading and assuring analysis activity, including coordinating other business analysts to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Expert use of business analysis techniques and practices, including business cases, as-is and to-be analysis, and technical and non-technical requirements.
- Designing and facilitating effective workshops with senior stakeholders, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Maintaining attention to detail while aligning analysis to the wider strategic and operational context.
- Experience adapting business analysis approaches across delivery methodologies, including Agile and Prince2.
- Owning and managing key senior stakeholder relationships.
- Leading, coaching and supporting the development of less experienced business analysts.
- Promoting business analysis good practice and acting as a senior representative of the profession.
