Project Coordinator

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit x 2 Project Coordinators for initial 6-month contracts on a day rate of £225-£275 (Inside IR35) This role will be hybrid working, 2-3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in implementing and developing the Portfolio, Programmes & Projects for the new system programme.

- Support the delivery of assigned projects within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality where shape and risk are clearly defined.

- Draft Project documentation, as well as maintaining RAID, Lessons Learned, and Actions Logs.

- Supports the delivery for quality, cost and performance improvement of the Programme service.

- Liaises with project and business teams to ensure communication and understanding of project progress, issues and risks.

- The role is critical in assisting the Senior Programme Manager - to achieve the success of the programme of work.

- Assist the PMO process implementation and assist with passing information concerning content (e.g., deliverables, risks, issues) to and from sponsors.

- Assisting with allocated projects planning, risk management, cost management and quality tracking.

- Management of the associated documentation, processes and team engagement.

- Assisting with co-ordination of the project process to allow the Senior Programme Manager to focus on emerging risks and issues and wider stakeholder engagement and management.

- Assisting with the creation of programme information, templates and tools.

- Working closely with Project/Programme Managers to ensure consistent and coordinated transition through project lifecycle gates.

- Assisting with Project/Programme Reporting and preparation of materials for PMO governance.

- Assisting with communications;

- Assisting with presentations and design for the Visualisation Room;

- Support the delivery of assigned projects within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality where shape and risk is clearly defined.

- Draft Project documentation, as well as maintaining RAID, Lessons Learned, and Actions Logs.

Essential Skills:

- Will have the integrity, skills, judgement, and credibility and technical competence to support the build for a detailed programme taking numerous inputs not necessarily in the same from multiple stakeholders.

- Strong team player with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

- Comprehensive Microsoft Office proficiency.

- Strong IT skills with experience of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Programme management tools

- A degree-level qualification would be advantageous but is by no means essential.

- Excellent communication skills with exceptional standard of written and verbal English – must have strong attention to detail.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including working with a wide range of people and building positive relationships.

- Resilient with ability to take initiative and meet tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

- Professional or working towards accreditation in Programme and Project Management is desirable.
