Application Developer

Contract Opportunity: Analyst Developer – Business Systems / SQL / Interfaces

Location: Hybrid (onsite as required)Contract Length: 5 months Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Analyst Developer to join our Applications Team on a 5-month contract.

This role has been created to provide critical cover during an organisation-wide ERP system transition. Several key team members are seconded to the ERP project, and we require a strong, generalist developer to maintain momentum across operational systems and potentially support elements of the ERP implementation.

• Develop and enhance user-facing and business forms within core systems

• Provide technical support to end users across a range of business applications

• Write and optimise advanced SQL queries for reporting and analysis

• Support integration and interface development, including REST APIs and data exchange formats

• Contribute to automation and scripting tasks using Python and Selenium

• Assist with exploratory and implementation activities related to the ERP project

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to support application changes

• Experience developing forms and workflows within enterprise applications

• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and data manipulation

• Proven ability to support and troubleshoot a variety of business systems

• Python scripting and test automation with Selenium

• Experience with system integration using REST APIs, XML, JSON

• Familiarity with AI tools or prompt engineering (e.g. OpenAI APIs)

• Exposure to platforms such as:

  • Advanced Financials

  • SAP

  • Other ERP or case management tools

You are a confident, hands-on Analyst Developer who can quickly get up to speed in a fast-paced and evolving digital environment. Your work will be critical to maintaining continuity across business systems, and you may also contribute to a major ERP transformation. Your broad technical expertise and flexibility will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations during a significant period of organisational change.
