Cyber Security Specialist
Venn Group are working with a Charity to recruit for a permanent Cyber Security Specialist
- Salary: £36,000 per annum
- Working Arrangements: Remote working
The Cyber Specialist will seek to build on the success of the charity achieving Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, maintaining the exceptionally high standards of service and support delivered to our colleagues and ensuring the organisation benefits from alignment with best practices in management and cyber-resilience.
Responsibilities of the Cyber Specialist:
The Cyber Specialist is responsible for protecting the organisation’s digital assets, systems and data by designing, implementing and maintaining effective cyber security controls and policies.
The role provides expert guidance on cyber risk, threat detection, incident response and security best practice, ensuring that information security is embedded across technology, processes and ways of working across the organisation.
Working closely with Technology Services, risk, compliance and wider business teams, the Cyber Specialist helps strengthen the organisation’s security posture, supports regulatory and accreditation requirements, and enables the safe use of technology in line with organisational goals and values.
Experience and Skills:
- Qualifications in Azure or Cyber Security
- Accomplished with PowerShell, Active Directory, Server Management, Network Management, SIEM, EDR and XDR
- Proficient in Azure and Office 365, Sharepoint and Intune Endpoint Manager
- Strong technical knowledge of ICT disciplines including the introduction of new software systems, security, customer engagement and networking
- Solution focused, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to challenging the status-quo to find better ways of achieving objectives
- Communicate effectively and clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
