Network Engineer

Role Title: Network Engineer - Active SC ClearanceLocation: Office - Barrow In Furness LA14 1AF(Onsite)Based in Barrow 5 days a week f/t – please be aware these roles will may involve rotational out of hours working, anticipating a 16:30 – 23:30 evening shift for 2 weeks, followed by 2 weeks on a standard 7.5 hr day shift – subject to change.Duration: 31/12/2025 with possible extensionsRate: £ 585 Per Day - Inside IR35Role Description:• Inputting into High Level Designs• Creating Low Level designs from approved High Level Designs• Configuring core infrastructure components e.g. Data Centre Fabric, Access/Distribution Switches, routers, WAN, firewalls, load balancers, Authentication servers, Wifi controllers, management tooling.• Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.• Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analyse results.• Planning survey's / surveying for cross/site distribution areas ( Fibre ) - checking for cabling power/space (photo's to be taken)• Installing new SDA switches in readiness for OOH work for installation/take on and testing of kit, providing ELS and decom/removal of old switches Installation/take on and testing of new SDA kit Key Skills o Network Architecture / Architecture (Compute/storage/End User)o Working in secure environmentso Network Design (HLD/LLD)o Cisco Networking (Routing/Switching)o Data Centre Networkingo Cisco ACIo Firewalls (Palo Alto / Cisco)o Authentication (802.1x / Cisco ISE / AD familiarity)o Network managemento Load balancing (Netscaler)o Cisco SDA (Software Defined Access)o Merakio WIFIo Remote accesso Encryption
