We are currently working with a Local Authority who are looking for a Senior Financial Systems Accountant to help the Financial Systems & Support Team.

Senior Financial Systems Accountant

Start: ASAP

Rate: Inside IR35 – Negotiable

Duration: 10 Months Initially

Duties:

• Lead the configuration, maintenance, and oversight of financial systems and their interfaces with corporate finance platforms
• Provide technical accounting advice and support to operational projects, particularly where financial system dependencies exist
• Collaborate with project teams or work independently to test, implement, and update financial system changes
• Data integrity and compliance
• Performance monitoring
• Strategic financial decision-making
• Ensure financial systems support accurate and timely reporting in line with regulatory and internal standards
• Act as a subject matter expert for financial systems during audits, upgrades, and system enhancements
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial operations

Requirements:

• Significant experience in finance, data and business systems development
• CCAB Qualified
• Advanced IT proficiency especially in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Platform
• SAP PPM MasterGov Atamis (Systems)
