Cyber Security Business Analyst - £450 pd Inside IR35 - Reading

Our leading utilities client is looking to appoint an experienced Cyber Security Business Analyst to support the delivery of key cyber security initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.

This role forms part of a long-term cyber transformation programme, making it an excellent opportunity for a contractor looking for a project with a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial 3-month term.

You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring critical security initiatives are successfully delivered and aligned with organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand current and future-state processes.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Support the delivery of cyber security and technology transformation projects.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including business process maps, user stories and requirements documentation.
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects and cyber security specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support testing, change management and user acceptance activities where required.
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives, security standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering cyber security or information security projects.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, governance and risk management.
  • Experience producing process maps, user stories, functional specifications and business requirements documentation.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience working alongside cyber security, infrastructure and technology teams.
  • Experience in utilities sector highly preferred

Rate: £450 per day Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months

Location: Hybrid/Reading (3 days per week on site)
