A high-growth team inside a fast-moving fintech is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build a new product line from the ground up. This team moves like a startup — lean, fast, and focused on getting things into users' hands. They're language-agnostic and care far more about engineering quality and product intuition than any particular stack. Most importantly, they think in outcomes.
What you'll do
▸ Architect and build the core — own the systems, APIs, interfaces, and infrastructure that power a new product line, end-to-end. No one will hand you the design.
▸ Ship fast, then make it right — MVPs in weeks, not quarters. They need someone who can make good trade-off decisions quickly and iterate without fear.
▸ Own the product, not just the code — translate ambiguous problems into simple, high-impact product decisions. No PMs holding your hand. You decide what to build, how to build it, and when to ship.
▸ Orchestrate, don't just type — use AI tooling to get 5x more out of yourself, and stay current on what's coming next.
▸ Take full ownership — from scoping, to shipping, to measuring whether you've actually moved the needle.
The team
This is a moonshot team — operating separately from the company's day-to-day, with the mandate to launch category-defining products that don't exist yet. The successful candidate reports directly to the head of the organisation. No bureaucracy. No committee sign-off. The entire org will move to unblock you and help ship great features.

The role is in-office in London, 5 days a week. This team works hard — realistically 50–60 hours a week. They're looking for someone genuinely ambitious who wants to build something they're proud of.
What they're looking for
✓ Ex-founder, co-founder, or first-10 engineer at a startup — this is non-negotiable. They need someone who knows what it feels like to own the outcome, not just the ticket. ✓ 7–12 years of strong full-stack engineering experience, with a track record of owning production systems end-to-end — not just prototypes. ✓ Strong product intuition and user-centric mindset — able to operate without a product manager and make sharp calls under ambiguity. ✓ Can explain the why behind every product and architecture decision — and the answers get sharper the more you push. ✓ Uses AI dev tools daily and can speak concretely about how it changes their output and velocity. ✓ Genuinely ambitious — they want someone who cares about impact, not just craft.
