Location - Hybrid (2-3 days in Central London)

Salary - Up to £38k (+10% profit sharing)

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team for our client in the financial space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering high-quality technical support across both local and global teams.

You will play a key role in supporting our client's London office while also contributing to wider group IT operations, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Local Office Support

  • Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and office infrastructure
  • Support meeting room technology, including video conferencing and AV systems
  • Act as the first escalation point for local hardware, software, and network issues
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding (device setup, accounts, access)
  • Maintain office IT equipment, including printers, Wi-Fi, and telephony

Group / Cross-Divisional Support

  • Deliver remote support across regions using service desk and remote tools
  • Contribute to IT projects such as upgrades, rollouts, and security initiatives
  • Support Microsoft 365 platforms and assist with standardising IT processes
  • Assist with patching, endpoint security, and compliance activities

Service Delivery & Improvement

  • Manage and resolve tickets via the ITSM system in line with SLAs
  • Escalate complex issues where required
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work with wider IT teams to deliver consistent support
  • Communicate effectively with users at all levels
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and provide occasional user training

Your Profile:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra (user management, groups, permissions, MFA)
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
  • Hands-on experience supporting end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, AV equipment)
  • CompTIA A+ certification or ITIL Foundation would be beneficial
