Location - Hybrid (2-3 days in Central London)
Salary - Up to £38k (+10% profit sharing)
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team for our client in the financial space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering high-quality technical support across both local and global teams.
You will play a key role in supporting our client's London office while also contributing to wider group IT operations, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Local Office Support
- Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and office infrastructure
- Support meeting room technology, including video conferencing and AV systems
- Act as the first escalation point for local hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage onboarding/offboarding (device setup, accounts, access)
- Maintain office IT equipment, including printers, Wi-Fi, and telephony
Group / Cross-Divisional Support
- Deliver remote support across regions using service desk and remote tools
- Contribute to IT projects such as upgrades, rollouts, and security initiatives
- Support Microsoft 365 platforms and assist with standardising IT processes
- Assist with patching, endpoint security, and compliance activities
Service Delivery & Improvement
- Manage and resolve tickets via the ITSM system in line with SLAs
- Escalate complex issues where required
- Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements
Collaboration & Communication
- Work with wider IT teams to deliver consistent support
- Communicate effectively with users at all levels
- Support and mentor junior engineers and provide occasional user training
Your Profile:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra (user management, groups, permissions, MFA)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
- Hands-on experience supporting end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, AV equipment)
- CompTIA A+ certification or ITIL Foundation would be beneficial
