About the Role
A leading service provider specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of self-service technology is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support its growing UK operations. This role focuses on ensuring the reliable performance of automated parcel locker systems, providing high-quality technical support across your designated region.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and IT-related faults in parcel locker units.
Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and technical servicing.
Replace and install components such as locks, actuators, and electronic parts.
Configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, LTE modems, and controllers.
Log service activities accurately via mobile systems and applications.
Collaborate with the central service desk to ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Requirements
Recognised technical qualification in electrical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering (or similar discipline).
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a technical field service role (e.g. ATMs, vending machines, self-service kiosks, electrical systems, or consumer electronics).
Sound understanding of electromechanical systems and low-voltage electrical work.
Working knowledge of IT systems, including LAN/WAN networks, LTE technology, and software/firmware updates.
Competent in using power tools and electrical testing equipment.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and detail-focused.
Full UK driving licence (Category B).
Willingness to work on a rota basis, including on-call and weekend shifts when required.
Desirable Qualifications
ECS card or 17th/18th Edition certification (or equivalent).
Previous experience maintaining or installing self-service or payment systems.
Working at Height certification.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.
