Are you a senior Oracle EPM Cloud Planning expert operating at — or ready to step into — a true principal-level leadership role?
Version 1, the UK & Ireland's leading Oracle ERP and Cloud Transformation partner, is seeking an exceptional Principal Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Consultant to lead some of our most complex and strategically significant planning and budgeting programmes across government, public sector, and enterprise clients.
This is not a delivery-only role. It's an opportunity to operate as a trusted advisor, technical authority, and programme leader, shaping enterprise planning strategies and influencing outcomes at executive level.
The OpportunityAs a Principal Consultant, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and leadership. You'll guide clients through end-to-end Oracle EPM Cloud Planning transformations — from early vision and solution shaping through to implementation, optimisation, and long-term roadmap development.
You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams, influence senior finance stakeholders, and set the standard for quality, governance, and best practice across the Oracle EPM Cloud Planning domain.
What You'll Be Responsible ForProgramme & Delivery LeadershipYou will: Own the full lifecycle of large-scale Oracle EPM Cloud Planning programmesLead multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery against scope, timelines, quality and valueProvide strong governance, risk management and executive-level reportingSolution Design & Technical AuthorityYou will: Act as the principal design authority for Oracle EPM Cloud Planning (PBCS / EPBCS)Lead solution architecture across models, calculations, allocations, forms, dashboards and reportingDrive advanced capability using Smart View, Data Management, Groovy rules, REST APIs and automationDesign connected planning solutions across Finance, FP&A, Workforce, CapEx and operational planningReview and assure delivery quality across senior and mid-level consultantsClient Advisory & Stakeholder InfluenceYou will: Build trusted relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors and Transformation SponsorsLead executive workshops and design sessions, challenging thinking and guiding best-practice outcomesTranslate complex technical solutions into clear, business-focused narrativesPre-Sales, Growth & Thought LeadershipYou will: Lead pre-sales activity including solution shaping, proposals, demos and bid responsesSupport pipeline development alongside Sales and Practice LeadershipContribute to Version 1 accelerators, reusable assets and thought leadership initiativesTeam Leadership & Capability DevelopmentYou will: Mentor and coach consultants across the Oracle EPM practiceSupport capability strategy, recruitment and continuous improvementChampion Version 1 values, culture and standards of excellenceQualificationsWhat You'll BringEssential ExperienceYou will have: Extensive hands-on experience delivering Oracle EPM Cloud Planning (PBCS / EPBCS), including multiple full-lifecycle implementationsProven leadership of complex, multi-stream planning transformation programmesStrong technical expertise across planning models, calculations, allocations, dashboards, Smart View, Data Management, Groovy and REST integrationsExceptional communication, facilitation and presentation skills with senior finance stakeholdersAbility to influence decision-making, manage complexity and deliver under pressureExperience mentoring consultants and leading delivery teamsStrong commercial awareness with exposure to pre-sales and bid activityDesirable ExperienceYou will have: Experience with other Oracle EPM Cloud modules (FCCS, ARCS, PCMCS, EDMCS, Narrative or Tax Reporting)Background in finance, accountancy or FP&AExperience migrating from Hyperion Planning to Oracle EPM CloudReady to Lead at the Highest Level?
