Job Title: RF/Electronic Test Technician
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 basic

Key Responsibilities - RF/Electronic Test Technician

• Set up and operate RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analysers, network analysers, power meters).
• Interpret circuit diagrams and PCB schematics to test, fault-find and repair to component level.
• Test and configure systems to meet specific customer requirements.
• Carry out production testing, generate reports, and ensure results meet internal specifications.
• Diagnose and repair faulty finished goods.
• Support test development by building test fixtures and configuring ATS set-ups.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve quality and resolve issues.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment as required.

  
Experience & Skills Required - RF/Electronic Test Technician

• Commercial experience in electronics manufacturing, ideally in RF infrastructure or wireless video equipment.
• Solid understanding of IP networks and digital/analogue electronics.
• Proficient in fault-finding to component level, with the ability to rework and replace components.
• Familiarity with IPC standards.
• Able to work collaboratively under tight deadlines, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
