Overview

Seeking an experienced CICS MQ & z/OS Systems Programmer with expertise in IBM CICS Transaction Server, IBM MQ, and z/OS environments. The role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining mission‐critical systems while ensuring performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, configure, and customize CICS TS and IBM MQ environments.
  • Establish and maintain CICS intercommunications and advanced facilities (transaction routing, distributed processing, web support).
  • Administer MQ environments (channels, managers, queues) and backup/recovery processes.
  • Maintain VSAM files, exits, and assembler routines for CICS TS.
  • Perform system testing (integration, regression, concurrence) and incident resolution using IPCS, traces, and dumps.
  • Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and performance tuning recommendations.
  • Deliver technical services and reporting to stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years with IBM CICS and MQ
  • Strong knowledge of z/OS systems programming, RACF security
  • Expertise in system performance tuning, incident resolution, and modernization projects.
