Location: Cheltenham / Tewkesbury

Salary: 55K - 68K + Bonuses + Excellent Benefits

Controls Engineer required by well-established specialist engineering company!

This is a key role designing, programming and commissioning bespoke industrial automation and machinery control systems, working on varied projects from initial design through to installation and commissioning.

Essential:

• Strong commercial experience designing and programming complex industrial control systems from the ground up
• Extensive Allen-Bradley ControlLogix / Studio 5000 PLC programming experience
• Siemens S7 / TIA Portal programming experience highly desirable
• HMI and SCADA software development experience
• Industrial network programming including Ethernet/IP and PROFINET
• Proven experience within automated machinery / manufacturing environments
• Installation and commissioning experience
• Able to work directly with customers and take technical ownership of projects
• Willing and able to travel internationally, including North America
• Full UK driving licence
• Must be within commutable distance of Cheltenham/Tewkesbury or willing to relocate

Nice-to-have:

• FANUC or other industrial robotics experience, or a genuine interest in developing robotics skills
• EPLAN electrical design
• Machine vision systems
• Project management / technical leadership experience
