The Opportunity
We’re looking for a commercially minded Account or Project Manager to provide interim cover within our customer growth and delivery function.
This is a temporary position , providing cover during a period of team absence, but with the potential to lead to longer-term opportunities for the right person.
The role combines account ownership, project coordination, and inside sales , carrying a defined revenue target. You’ll work closely with clients to ensure delivery success while identifying and converting opportunities for further engagement and account growth.
It’s an ideal opportunity for someone from a project management or delivery background who wants to step into a client-facing, commercially driven role with clear targets and strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
Account Growth & Sales
- Take ownership of a defined portfolio of customer accounts, with clear sales and revenue targets .
- Proactively identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities across Vertex Agility’s full portfolio (Software, Cloud, Data, and AI).
- Develop and execute account growth plans , coordinating with technical and delivery leads.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, commercial terms, and client presentations.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on pipeline and performance.
Client Delivery & Relationship Management
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with internal delivery teams to align expectations, track milestones, and support project success.
- Understand client roadmaps and business priorities to position Vertex Agility as a trusted partner.
Strategic Account Leadership
- Map client organisations to uncover new stakeholders and areas for expansion.
- Support clients in shaping their technology and delivery strategies through a consultative approach.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve account performance, reporting, and customer retention.
About You
- Experience in account management, client delivery, or project management within a technology or software engineering environment.
- Proven ability to work to commercial or sales targets and deliver measurable growth.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly proactive and organised, with a focus on outcomes and client success.
- Degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).
