DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer 6 months Contract for a client based in Denmark

You must be in the UK or Europe and able to travel to Denmark when needed.

6 months contract to start with.

Paid in Euros

The client is seeking a DevOps consultant with hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Talos, and the Cilium CNI.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network operations and extensive experience configuring Cilium over extended periods.

Experience with EgressIP solutions and managing unstable network environments is highly valuable.

Ability to deliver hard feedback and constructive criticism is paramount.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Talos first and foremost and Openshift secondly.

Familiarity with OVN.

Task:

Analyse and review our Cilium configuration for Talos to create recommendations that are aligned with the network architecture and quirks.

Document major decisions in ADRs using markdown for future reference.

Technical Expertise:

Strong background in Kubernetes and Cilium, with a focus on on-premises setups, followed by cloud environments.

Familiarity with Openshift, EKS, AWS, BGP, eBPF, and Grafana is advantageous.

Experience:

Proven track record with Cilium for over a year.

Location:

Ideally located in Demark or based in Europe

Availability:

Willingness to visit the office onsite 1-2 times a month or more.

Proficiency in English is required.
