VP of AI Research

We are working with an exciting deep-tech AI startup building a AI agent for Data Scientists, the agent powered by proprietary Foundation Models. It assists data scientists throughout their workflow, from problem framing to robust, production-ready models. As an early-stage, well-funded AI company, they build on state-of-the-art research to solve concrete business challenges.

As VP of Research, you will define and drive the research strategy, will set the scientific agenda, ensure research excellence,best practice and technical guidance, managing a team of researchers.

About you:

• PhD in STEM field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics etc)
• Experience leading research agenda / projects
• Experience managing / mentoring researchers
• Established publication record in top conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML).

Other Info:

• Compensation: £150,000 to £215,000 base salary + stock options
• Location: London, Paris or New York (Need right to work, firm is unable to provide sponsorship)
• Progression: Potential to move into Chief Science Officer style role in the future with more ownership
