ICT Design Engineer

Vertical Recruitment are collaborating with a highly successful global consultancy based in the USA, Asia, Middle East and UK and has now established a new office in Manchester.

Their Manchester team is experiencing rapid growth with plans to expand to 20 members in the coming years. The consultancy is actively engaged in diverse projects, with a particular focus on sports facilities such as stadiums.

An exciting opportunity is available to join our clients specialist group, working on internationally recognized projects. They are the #1 engineering, technology and audio-visual consulting firm for sports facilities (BD+C Giants 2020).

You will integrate with all design disciplines and specialists to establish client requirements and provide engineered solutions to meet the clients’ expectations and budgets. You will be working with an experienced team, who will help you grow professionally, to assist delivery of this critical element of our built environment engineering solutions. This is a great opportunity for the right person to gain fantastic experience within a unique and energetic team atmosphere dealing with the world’s most iconic venues.

Your Qualifications

• A degree in Electronic Engineering or an ICT related degree preferred or else an industry focused diploma.
• Data Networking essentials such as Cisco Certified Network Associate or similar
• Working towards BISCI qualification or other relevant recognised industry qualification
• Experience designing infrastructure systems for telecommunications/data structured cabling, audio-visual, security, network, and/or wireless systems for architectural projects
• Candidates should have experience and understanding of the RIBA process, stages, and expected level of deliverable at each stage
• Experience of CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities
• Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail
• Construction (on-onsite / off-site) site monitoring of works and witness testing of ICT systems
