Senior Control Systems Engineer

Senior Control Systems Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Controls Engineer required to join a manufacturer in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
The Senior Control Systems Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Controls Engineer will be an experienced electrical professional with a minimum of 5 years industry experience. Youll bring proven hands-on expertise in EPLAN, control panel design, PLC/HMI programming, and electrical commissioning.
Working as part of a close-knit design team, youll lead and support the full lifecycle of bespoke automated systems used across the UK. The role involves producing electrical drawings in EPLAN, leading PLC programming tasks, and supporting on-site commissioning and testing.
Package:

• Up to £65,000 (Depending on experience)
  
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support PLC & HMI programming and system testing
  
• Develop P&IDs in coordination with design and engineering teams
  
• Oversee and participate in on-site commissioning
  
• Design control panel layouts and wiring schematics
  
• Use EPLAN to produce detailed electrical documentation
  
• Create schematics, flow diagrams, and I/O lists
  
• Collaborate with various engineering and project departments
  
• Based in Newark, Nottinghamshire
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years industry experience in electrical control systems
  
• Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualified
  
• Proficiency in EPLAN, PLCs, HMIs, and VSDs
  
• Full UK driving licence
  
• Must be commutable to Newark, Nottinghamshire
