React Developer – FX eTrading | Global Investment Bank

We are currently hiring an experienced React Developer to join the FX eTrading technology team within the front office of a global investment bank. This role is part of a major, multi-year transformation program aimed at modernising and scaling a high-performance trading platform.

You will be working on a greenfield initiative with significant visibility, contributing to the design and build of next-generation front-end systems for the bank’s electronic FX trading business. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented technologists in the industry and tackle complex engineering challenges at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of high-performance, low-latency front-end trading systems using React.
• Build real-time market data visualisation tools and trading dashboards.
• Work closely with traders, quants, and back-end engineers to deliver robust and scalable UI solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to performance tuning and optimisation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep experience building eTrading front-end applications in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of low-latency design principles and performance optimisation
• Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (WebSockets, FIX, TCP)
• Familiarity with OpenFin or other containerized front-end frameworks
• Proven ability to build responsive, high-performance UIs for trading environments
• Understanding of FX and FX Options markets (other asset classes also considered)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges
• Comfortable working in high-pressure, front-office trading environments
• Highly motivated with a proactive, positive approach
