Senior Java Developer – Market Connectivity – Equities (Contract)

Location: London (Hybrid)

A leading investment bank is seeking a senior Java engineer to join its Equities Connectivity team on a contract basis. This is a key role supporting a critical platform that connects to external trading venues and market data providers.

What You'll Do:

• Build and enhance systems for real-time market connectivity
• Work on low-latency infrastructure and high-performance messaging
• Contribute to ongoing platform upgrades and modernisation
• Help shape the long-term strategy of the connectivity stack

Key Requirements:

• Strong Core Java, multithreading, and concurrency experience
• Knowledge of market connectivity protocols (e.g. FIX)
• Experience in any asset class, equities preferred, but others considered
• Ability to work independently and contribute to technical direction
