An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of IT to lead the technology function of a respected, Plymouth based organisation. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s digital strategy, ensuring robust, secure, and innovative technology solutions support every area of the business.

As the Head of IT, you’ll provide strategic direction for all IT operations, including infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, applications, and support. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll align technology initiatives with business priorities, drive digital transformation, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver a long-term IT strategy that supports business growth and operational excellence.
• Oversee IT operations and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems.
• Manage budgets, vendors, and technology contracts to achieve cost efficiency.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary IT team, promoting collaboration and accountability.
• Implement effective governance, data protection, and risk management frameworks.
• Identify and adopt new technologies that enhance productivity and enable smarter decision-making.

As the Head of IT, you will have:

• Experience as an IT leader (Head of IT or equivalent)
• Proven ability to deliver complex IT programmes and manage digital transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, cloud services, and enterprise systems
• Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
