Frontend Developer (Project Lead)
We’re looking for a Mid/Senior Frontend Developer who can lead frontend on web application projects. You’ll work closely with a small project team to deliver complex requirements on client projects. You will work together to build beautiful, interactive interfaces that solve real problems for organisations in a range of industries, from education to healthcare.
The Role
You will lead the frontend delivery for specific builds, taking ownership from the initial discovery phase through to the final polish. Working within an Agile methodology, you’ll partner closely with designers, backend developers, QA and project managers to execute projects that meet clear objectives.
You’ll plan and implement new features using modern tooling, ensuring every requirement is met with a high-quality, performant technical solution.
Beyond the project work, we want you to have a voice in how we work. You’ll contribute to the agency’s development processes, participating in discussions about tooling, methodology, and best practices.
Our projects are varied, and adaptability is valued, but initially this role will be focused on PHP/Laravel, Vue.js, Inertia, Blade, Tailwind.
Who You Are
Technical Depth: You have a strong command of modern JavaScript (Vue.js or React) and are proficient in utility-first CSS (Tailwind). Crucially, you’re happy working within a PHP/Laravel ecosystem.
Experience: You have 3+ years of experience building and maintaining complex web applications. You’re comfortable navigating the unique challenges of long-term software contracts.
AI Proficiency: You are comfortable leveraging AI tooling (e.g., JetBrains Junie, Claude, etc) to speed up delivery, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance overall project outcomes without sacrificing code quality.
Agency Mindset: You enjoy variety and are comfortable with context-switching. You can move between a deep-focus build and a quick UI fix for a retainer client without losing your stride.
Pragmatism: You understand the balance between "pixel-perfect" and "project-ready." You can identify technical hurdles early and suggest creative solutions that keep a project on track.
Communication: You can explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical team members and are comfortable documenting your work for the rest of the dev team.
