Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and driven Commercial Manager – Media & Entertainment, who will focus on business development efforts in the region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong network and deep understanding of how broadcasters, production companies, and digital content platforms operate and monetise in a digital-first world.

You will play a key role in connecting our OTT technology offerings to the content ecosystem—from live broadcasters and linear-to-digital converters to pure-play streaming services and studios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive new business development with media & entertainment clients including broadcasters, studios, streaming services, production houses, and aggregators across Europe.
• Understand client pain points across the content lifecycle (ingest, asset management, streaming, monetisation) and position our OTT solutions to solve them.
• Lead the commercial process from prospecting and qualification to demos, proposals, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with technical team members and solutions engineers to tailor demonstrations and RFP responses for media-specific workflows.
• Stay ahead of industry trends such as FAST channels, hybrid monetisation, content syndication, and cloud-native production.
• Manage CRM pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to the leadership team.
• Represent ViewLift at industry events and conferences such as IBC, Mip TV, Mipcom Cannes, and regional OTT summits.
• Gather client feedback and collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide feedback from the market that will refine our roadmap and offerings for the M&E vertical.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the media, broadcast, or video technology space, with a focus on commercial functions in enterprise SaaS or OTT platforms.
• Strong understanding of the media & entertainment value chain, from content production and licensing to distribution and monetisation.
• Proven success selling technical solutions to studios, broadcasters, streaming platforms, or large content owners.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with relevant technologies such as HLS/DASH streaming, DRM (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay), CDN delivery, and video CMS.
• A consultative, value-driven sales approach with experience navigating complex stakeholder environments (technical, editorial, business).
• Based in Europe with willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events across the region.

Preferred Background:

• Prior experience working for a video technology provider, SaaS OTT vendor, media tech consultancy, or a vendor servicing M&E clients.
• Strong contacts within EMEA-based broadcasters, OTT platforms, or media groups.
• Understanding of regional content regulations (e.g., GDPR, EU AVMSD, copyright frameworks).
